they call them red belly pacu
A red bellied pacu is NOT a piranha, a piranha is a meat eating fish while a pacu eats fruit. They look vey similar, however, and seem to be quite a lot alike.
I’m not really sure if you can get a piranha, why don’t you contact petco or petsmart and see if they know where you can get one. Ask if they can get one for you. :3.
If you want a pacu, however, that’s different. They get large too, but again like I said are fruit eaters, strawberries… etc :3
First you need to make sure that they are legal to keep in your state, if not, no site will ship them there because they will be in violation for shipping a restricted species across state lines. After you figure out if they are legal where you live, below is a site that sells them and many other oddball fish.

And Kyle, you need to do your research before you give out false information. Pacu are in the same family, but are defiantly not piranhas.

WAIT! Piranhas are illegel in most parts of the united states so make sure you get permision from the goverment before you do. I have no clue where to get piranhas. My aquarium has a piranha tank but they are wild caught. Never seen them on market. But heir herbivourous cousin, the pacu can make perfect additions to almost any tank.
First of all its a Red Bellied Pacu not a piranha.
Your local fish shop may carry them if your state is not so strict.
You can also find a local breeder in you area.
